A little insight on what kind of person I am!

I live in the capital of Pahang. In UMP, I live in a hostel of my own here, so, it allows me to feel a satisfying degree of independence. I believe I am smart. I also believe I am underweight. I am an avid reader of comic books. In addition, I believe that the most important thing in my life is myself. Well, technically speaking, if there is no myself, then there is no my life.

There are a lot of things that always intrigue me; good foods, good books, good friends and also good looking men. When I feel depressed and upset, my mother makes me feel the other way round. I believe I am feminist. I do not have that feminine gene in me. My voice is loud, rough and my manners manly.

Among the usual remarks people gave me in opposing my unconventional personality are...

1- "hjr, you have to get married someday."
= what is that supposed to mean? so, if i'm not married someday, i am a disgrace to society? isn't that discriminatory? they want me to change to a more feminine-like lady so that i can get a husband. hmm... something is definitely wrong there. i would rather remain unmarried than being involved in a life committment of which i cannot even be myself and speak my own mind.

2- "hjr, you're a girl. Act like one. control yourself."
= so if i'm a guy, it's okay for me to be like this?? another proof of double standard.

3- "hjr, don't you want guys to be attracted to you?"
= ermm... no?

4. “hjr, are you sure this is done in the right way?”
= For God’s sake, I know how to run my life. And I believe the Constitution gives me the right to handle things my own way as long as it does not affect other people. So, get off me and my comics or books and my stuffs. Observe and ask – fine with me. Complain and criticize that my ways of living MY LIFE can be wrong – yeah, NOPE!

5. “Be a woman. Family-oriented.”
= What does that have to do with you anyway whether I am a man or a spinster-going-to-be? As my mother said and I quote, “you won’t need a guy in your life if success and money are in your hands’.

and a bunch of other stuffs as well, of which i believe is not relevant in the millennium world nowadays.

To those of you who are actually reading this, thank u very much. your attention is very much appreciated.
